The African Carbon Trust (ACT) is Interactive Africa’s latest contribution to design that positively influences our world and lives. Not content to leave design at the doorstep of the well-heeled, this dynamic organisation seeks to establish a new, democratic design paradigm for Africa and the developing world.

ACT aims to assist Africa in its transition to becoming a low-carbon economy, by inspiring a consciousness of commercial activism in consumers. In doing so, this not-for-profit organisation hopes to fuel the growth of a low-carbon economy by encouraging greater consumer demand for sustainable products and services. Far from the doom and gloom message of the threats of climate change, ACT addresses the root cause of global warming: the way we live.
